Рhoto report from the IV International swimming competition “Salnikov Cup”

On 28-29 of December 2010 the Swimming Center in St. Petersburg has been a scene of the IV International swimming competitions “Salnikov Cup”. Three hundred and fifty strongest swimmers of the world took part in the fight for the grand prize of the competition - a Silver Shark.

"We see that in swimming sport there is a healthy competition, which is the best soil for the sport records" - said president of WWF four-time Olympic champion Vladimir Salnikov at the opening ceremony of the competition. This tournament is intended for formation of the new Russian elite of world-class swimmers and for promotion healthy lifestyles among young people. The organizers managed to add elements of an exciting and beautiful show to this international competition, included in FINA calendar. Bright show together with a desire to win and intrigue of new world records got podiums of Swimming Centre thrilled and created a festive mood among of the audience.
